'I believe that our dreams makes us stronger.’ - Ayumi Kimis (also known as Olena Kim)
Born in Ukraine to a poor Korean family, Ayumi Kimis has worked hard her whole life to achieve her dreams. At the age of 20 years old, with very little money, she moved to Russia with the hope of gaining a better life for herself. While in Moscow, she decided that she wanted to become healthier, and challenged herself to lose weight by taking part in her first beauty competition. Her determination and hard work resulted in her losing 22 lbs, and, amazingly, also taking first place. After this competition, she decided to make it her life mission to help others believe in themselves and achieve their dreams.
When she was 15 years old, Ayumi had a dream to come to the United States. Now, ten years later, she is here and grateful to all the people in her life whose support has allowed her to come this far.
Education
Ayumi graduated from the Shevchenko's University in Kiev in 2010 in Philology. In 2011 she graduated from TV school as a TV reporter, and has devoted the rest of her life to personal development.Work Experience
Ayumi’s ambitious, intelligent, and charismatic nature has propelled her to success in her endeavors. While living in Moscow, she managed a large tourism company, where she trained foreigners to work in her company. After leaving this company, she worked as a model for a number of designers and agencies.
Community Involvement.
One of Ayumi’s dreams is to be able to provide financial and motivational assistance to those who desire to receive an education, but unfortunately can’t afford it. Since she was a child, she helped many people with their life and family problems. Every day, she is grateful for the opportunity to be a mentor and role model for all people around her.
Future Aspirations
When Ayumi was 15, she was inspired with one large goal in her life - to open charity schools in all over the world for talented people, and for people who want to be educated but can’t afford it themselves. “I believe that people who strongly desire and deserve to reach their goals should be able to!’ - say Ayumi. However, because she grew up in a poor family and didn’t get to where she is now in a day, she understands that in order to make this dream come true, she needs to continue to be hardworking in the areas she loves, which is acting, modeling and music. She also constantly strives to empower women and the Asian community to break the glass ceiling, become leaders and overcome any obstacles they may face. Ayumi truly hopes to become a famous singer and actress in order to have a broader reach and be an inspiration to many more people of all ethnicities and backgrounds.
